It is my great pleasure and honor to invite you to the 30th Asia-Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology Congress held in conjunction with the 20th Congress of the Chinese Ophthalmological Society in Guangzhou, China, from April 1 – 4, 2015.
Following the success the 25thAPAO-AAO Joint Meeting in Beijing, China, in 2010 that brought together over 10,000 delegates from all over the world and the success of subsequent APAO annual congresses, we are pleased to have the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) co-sponsor the 30th APAO Congress, which will continue to serve as an important platform in the Asia-Pacific region for ophthalmologists and visual scientists to share their expertise, explore novel discoveries, and most importantly, forge and renew friendships.
The 30th APAO Congress will be held in Guangzhou Baiyun International Convention Center, which is located at the foot of Baiyun Mountain. Under the leadership of Prof Dennis Lam, the Scientific Program Committeeis engineering an exciting, first-class scientific program, covering major developments in the various subspecialties. We are anticipating over 1,000 international top-notch speakers and more than 8,000 delegates from all over the world.
We believe that the 30th APAO Congress will not only deepen one’s understanding and knowledge of ophthalmology, but also one’s friendships with our social program, which will surely comprise the cultural heritage of China. Co-sponsored by the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) and bringing together almost 30 supporting organizations from around the world, the 30th APAO Congress will feature world-renowned speakers with exhibits that showcase the latest developments in ophthalmology. The scientific program will cover all aspects and advances in ophthalmology and is expected to be world-class. I would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the participation of key leaders and pioneers in all subspecialties.
Another landmark in APAO’s history will be the inauguration of the APAO headquarters in Guangzhou.
